On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I am pleased to announce that the International Symposium on Outfall Systems 2016, which is being organized by the IAHR-IWA (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research and International Water Association) Joint Committee on Marine Outfall Systems, will be held at the University of Ottawa from May 10th to 13th, 2016, and will build on the successes of the previous conferences in the series on outfall systems.
The symposium will bring together leading experts in the fields of water resources engineering, hydraulics, and computational fluid dynamics to exchange knowledge and discuss current technology and management issues relating to, among other topics, fluid mixing and transport, desalination works, and environmental fluid mechanics. The themes of the symposium cover a wide variety of topics, including: theoretical works, practical and mathematical modelling investigations, field studies, and case histories. You are cordially invited to attend this important meeting and to also consider presenting a technical paper on one of the above topics.
The event will be co-located with Coastlab16 (IAHR), and the participants will have the opportunity to attend both conferences at the same time.
